Congratulations to the Joan MacQueen Middle School Engineering team who won the Core Values award at the First Lego League Robotics Team and placed 3rd in Robot Games. They were one of four teams to advance to the SoCal Championship Tournament on April 10th. @SanDiegoCOE

CAL Fire COVID Testing for tomorrow, Wednesday, March 10th at JMMS has been canceled due to expected rain.
In-person learning going strong!
We are excited to announce that after school sports will be returning to JMMS on April 6.
We are proud that our in-person learning has been going strong for 20 consecutive weeks. We can't wait for Phase Three beginning March 15!

While Zero the Hero arrives only once a year at CELC on the 100 day of school, he loved the students so much he sent them all masks as they are honorary heroes. Go Cubs!
CAL Fire will be doing COVID-19 testing today at Joan MacQueen Middle School from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.

Our next COVID-19 test date is Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Testing will take place from 9:00 - 2:30 at JMMS. Students and all community members are welcome to get COVID-19 testing and flu shots free of charge.
Free COVID-19 tests and flu shots will be provided at JMMS this Wednesday from 9:00-3:00. No appointment is necessary but individuals may schedule one on 211sandiego.org.
AUSD Phase Three Reopening begins March 15. We are so excited!

I hope everyone enjoys this three-day weekend. We will see you on Tuesday. PTA and I would like to thank all the families that contributed to the food drive. All of the food donated will help many families in need.
We are in need of donations of water bottles. If you are able to donate any, please drop them off at the school office anytime between 8 and 4. We would like to thank you in advance for your help. I want to remind you we have another holiday next Monday in honor of President’s day. Grab and Go Meal Distribution will take place on Tuesday of this week and next week due to our schools being closed on Monday for the holiday. We will hand out the meals on Tuesday, 2/9 and 2/16 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm and 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Please email kmassey@alpineschools.net if you have any questions. We are pleased to share that CALFIRE will be providing free COVID vaccines on February 11 and 12 from 9:00-5:00 at Joan MacQueen Middle School. CALFIRE will be vaccinating those who are 65 years of age and older. Registration will be available on the 211 website.
